Inelegant Interface is a hybrid mixed reality performance involving motion captured choreography, virtual avatars, and data-driven instrumental scoring. The performance is an improvisation between a live dancer and that dancer’s recorded movements, recursively performed, recorded, regenerated, and remembered. It is a collaboration with Cari Cunningham, Jean-Paul Perrotte, and Kimberly Yukes.
