Gesture Index is a communication tool that brings gestural language to your mobile device. 12 animated GIFs are available on social media apps and SMS through GIPHY. The animated 3D models, which each capture the movements of a physical interaction, are offered to users to replace text-based messaging with more ambiguous and multi-faceted imagery. A “beginner” set includes helpful phrases to communicate meaning, and an “advanced” set is uncaptioned to allow for a greater range of possibility.
