Metafork is an experimental eating project by artists Dina Dean and Tyler Calkin. It exists as a series of utensils that require relearning ingrained culinary customs. Each utensil is a proposition for a new collaborative or competitive eating process. Together, the collection investigates social norms, the material associations of food presentation, and the value of dysfunction through ludic design. A meal with Metafork is inefficient, absurd, playful, and unforgettable.
